Usually the changeover: the transfer switch, its mains sensing or the controller signal that tells it to move the load. That is a technician’s job, so please do not force the panel; send a photo of the controller screen.
Can you repair a generator at an embassy or diplomatic office?
Yes, by arrangement. Tell us what the mission’s security asks of contractors, such as names and ID numbers in advance, and we work within the visit times it sets, after hours where needed.
Our restaurant’s set trips when the kitchen and cold rooms are both on it. Is it faulty?

Is it safe to run a petrol portable behind our shop during load shedding?
Outdoors, yes, well away from doors and windows because of carbon monoxide, and through extension leads rated for the load. Never plug it into a wall socket to back-feed the shop; fitting a changeover switch is a technician’s job.
