What we find in each part of Gauteng

The work is the same everywhere: repairs, servicing and maintenance, done where the generator stands. What changes from region to region is the kind of generator we tend to meet and how the site is reached.
Schematic, not to scale. Pretoria and Centurion (City of Tshwane) in the north. Johannesburg in the centre: Midrand, Fourways, Sandton, Randburg, Roodepoort, Soweto and the city centre. Ekurhuleni to the east: Kempton Park, Edenvale, Germiston, Boksburg, Benoni, Alberton, Springs and Brakpan. The West Rand to the west: Krugersdorp, Randfontein, Westonaria and Carletonville. The Vaal Triangle in the south: Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark and Meyerton. On-site generator service in all five regions.

Johannesburg: city towers, business nodes and townships

Johannesburg has the widest mix: plant rooms under CBD towers, office blocks and shopping centres in the northern business nodes, family suburbs, estates and townships. Sandton and Randburg bring offices, retail and established homes, Fourways adds estates and shopping centres, and Midrand data facilities, office parks and warehouses along the N1. Roodepoort covers the western suburbs and Soweto homes and small businesses in the south-west. Rosebank, Parktown, Melville, Northcliff, Bryanston, Rivonia, Sunninghill and Woodmead are covered too.

Pretoria and Centurion: the capital and its business parks

Pretoria and the wider City of Tshwane bring standby sets at government buildings, embassies, hospitals and campuses that must start on demand, along with eastern estates, northern suburbs such as Montana and Akasia, and factories in Rosslyn and Silverton. Centurion, between Pretoria and Midrand, adds office parks, server rooms and the security estates around Irene. Pretoria East, Menlyn, Hatfield and Pretoria North are covered too.

Ekurhuleni: factories, logistics and the East Rand towns

Ekurhuleni, the East Rand, is a belt of factories, engineering works, warehouses and cold stores stretching from Germiston to Springs, with a logistics hub around O.R. Tambo and large standby sets to match, as well as suburbs, estates and townships. Its main towns each have a page: Kempton Park, Boksburg, Benoni, Germiston, Alberton, Edenvale and Springs. Bedfordview, Brakpan, Tembisa, Isando and Jet Park are covered too.

West Rand: mining towns, smallholdings and farms

The West Rand mixes old mining towns with farms, smallholdings and lodges. Krugersdorp brings suburbs, shops and industry, and Randfontein homes, industry and plots on the edge of town, while farms and venues towards Muldersdrift and Magaliesburg rely on diesel sets for boreholes, cold rooms and functions. Westonaria and Carletonville are covered too.

Vaal Triangle: steel, engineering and the river

The Vaal Triangle is Gauteng’s southern edge along the Vaal River. Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark have steel and engineering works beside their suburbs, while riverside homes, resorts and Midvaal smallholdings run standby and borehole sets. Meyerton is covered too.

Getting a technician to your site

Wherever you are in Gauteng, a few details help us bring the right parts and get straight to work.

  • Your address or a location pin, and any gate, estate or site access rules.
  • The make, model and kVA from the nameplate on the canopy or frame.
  • The hour-meter reading and a photo of the controller screen or any alarm.
  • What happened: it would not start, it stopped under load, or it runs but gives no power.
  • What it powers: a whole house, a borehole pump, a server room or a production line.

Call or WhatsApp at any time. Preparing for a technician visit explains what else helps, and emergency generator repair covers urgent breakdowns.

Core services

Available everywhere we work

Three different jobs. Pick the one that matches what your generator needs today.
  1. 01 · When something has gone wrong

    Generator Repairs

Finding and fixing a fault on site when the generator will not start, run, carry the load or make the right power.

    Typical reasons

    • Will not crank, or cranks but will not fire
    • Runs but gives no power, or the voltage or frequency is unstable
    • Overheating, leaks, smoke or a shutdown alarm
    • Trips when load comes on, or the changeover will not transfer

    What it involves

    • Fault finding on the engine, fuel system, alternator, AVR and controls
    • A free quotation before work starts
    • The repair, then a test run under load where possible
    Report a fault
  2. 02 · One visit, when it is due

    Generator Servicing

A single scheduled visit when the running hours or the date say a service is due: oil, filters, checks and a test run.

    Typical reasons

    • The hour meter has reached the service interval
    • A year has passed on a standby set that seldom runs
    • Load shedding or long outages have brought the hours interval round early
    • The generator has stood unused for months

    What it involves

    • Engine oil changed, with the oil and fuel filters where the engine has them
    • Air filter cleaned or replaced, spark plugs on petrol and gas engines, water drained from a diesel’s separator
    • Coolant, belts, battery and charger checked where fitted
    • A test run and a summary of what was found
    Book a service
  3. 03 · An ongoing plan, all year

    Generator Maintenance

An ongoing plan of services, inspections and test runs, scheduled around how the generator is used, with a record of every visit.

    Typical reasons

    • Backup power your home, business or site cannot be without
    • Daily running through load shedding, with hours to track between services
    • Several generators or sites to look after
    • You want service dates tracked and a history of the work

    What it involves

    • An agreed schedule, by running hours and by date
    • Inspections, test runs and changeover checks between services
    • Records for every visit
    • Faults found early and quoted before they cause a failure
    Discuss a maintenance plan

FAQ

Questions about coverage

Do you cover my suburb?

Very likely. We cover all of Gauteng, including the suburbs, townships, estates, industrial areas and smallholdings that do not have a page of their own. If your area is not named here, call or WhatsApp with the address and we will confirm.

Do you charge more for a callout outside the main cities?

No. We offer free callouts and quotations in every region we cover.

How quickly can you get to me?

We arrive within 1–2 hours, usually within 1 hour. We work 24/7, so call as soon as the generator gives trouble.

Are the same services available in every area?

Yes. Repairs, servicing, maintenance plans, 24/7 emergency callouts and specialist work such as AVR repairs and load bank testing are available across Gauteng.

Do I need to bring the generator to you?

No. We come to you, and diagnosis and most repairs are done where the generator stands, whether that is a side passage, a plant room, a parkade or a farm shed. If a part has to go to a specialist workshop, such as an alternator for rewinding, we remove and refit it on site. You only need to give the technician safe access.

Can you look after generators at sites in different regions?

Yes. Each set gets its own schedule based on its running hours and use, and visits can be grouped by area. See generator maintenance and commercial generator services.
