Our Greenstone Hill postal address says Edenvale. Does that change anything?
Not for a callout. Greenstone Hill, Founders Hill and Longmeadow are in the City of Johannesburg whatever the postcode says, so this page covers them; Edenvale itself is a separate town in Ekurhuleni.
The shared generator at our complex runs, but the units stay dark. What is wrong?
Usually the changeover: a contactor or its coil, the mains sensing or a tripped breaker downstream. Leave the panel closed and we test the transfer on site before replacing anything.
Why does the office UPS at our business park reject the generator supply?
A UPS refuses power whose voltage or frequency wanders. On a lightly loaded set the governor, AVR or fuel supply is often to blame; we test all three under real load with the UPS connected.
Can I run my portable generator into the house during load shedding?
